Description

"Can you do it?"

The tall blond man had asked this calmly, assessing the situation. In front of him, the slim woman smiled briefly, her grey eyes cold and determined.

"Yes, Aeran. No problem. I go in, I open the gates, you take care of them."

"I don't like you going alone in there."

Next to them, the wide shouldered warrior rumbled, his hand landing on her shoulder, a hand she squeezed briefly without even looking, acknowledging his presence and concern.

"Even greased up, you would never enter, Beeren, the way is too narrow for you."

She had said that absent mindely, still lost in the map of the fort spread in front of her, and only registered too late what she had just said as she heard Dreven snigger.

"Anyway it's easy. I climb up there, slide in and through the stables, cross the courtyard and open the gates. They will never see it coming and we need to take that outpost back."

Aeran spoke again, seemingly to all of them but Beeren could feel perfectly how this was aimed more at him.

"Without Herrenfield our lines are too weakened and it will allow for more tribes of the Moors to ransack the frontier. A front attack may work but it would be long and surely cause damages and losses of lives, and a damaged fortress is of no use to protect our country. Kiddo will go alone. I trust her on this."

"And I will prove worthy of your trust, my Prince."

grey eyes aren't something you see everyday.  already this has given her a nice unique edge and you did them so lovely.  Love her cloths too and how the colours blend into the background.
