Description
Lady Merreth is Heir Primary to her Sable House -- one of six noble houses within the Wechtan Matriarchy.

Accused of a gruesome murder she is not sure she didn't commit, Lady Merreth seeks redemption in a series of tales set in world horse and sword, leather and crossbow.

Western Watch is the first of her adventures.

Lady Merreth's WorldLady Merreth's world is a parallel earth, similar to ours in size, climate and land to water ratio.  The continents look significantly different however.  The level of technological development in the world is roughly late 18th to early 19th century, though significant variance exists.

Lady Merreth lives in the matriarchy of Wechta, a female dominated monarchy bounded by the sea to the north, the Kettleback Mountains to the east, and the Saskanna River to the west.  The western steppe lies beyond the Saskanna and is home to several large, Mongol-like clans.  To the south  is another mountain range on the other side of which are several small principalities and then the Southern Ocean.

Wechta is relatively small -- perhaps the size of the Benelux nations in Europe -- and has been isolated from the surrounding patriarchies through a combination of geography
